  • What is an “On-Line Repair Status”?
    ORS is a web-based repair management application. It enables you, the customer to view the repair status of your vehicle online, 24 hours a day.

  • How does the on-line repair status work?
    The repair facility uploads the repair data directly from their production schedule, so the information is always current.

  • Can I see a demo or a sample of the data?
    Go back to the login page and enter "ABC123" as the license plate number and "9999" as the repair order number. Omit the quotes while entering data. Click the "Submit" button when ready. You will be presented with a comprehensive report about the progress of repairs to your vehicle, including a progress bar located at the bottom of the screen. The repair status data is virtually always current, as is the total repair cost and anticipated delivery time.

  • What is the meaning of the progress bar at the bottom of the screen?
    The progress bar displays all operations that have been completed. The last green colored block displays the current repair operation that your vehicle is undergoing.

  • I want to know the repair status of my vehicle, how do I login?
    Just enter the repair order number and the license plate number of the vehicle being repaired. Contact your repair facility to obtain the repair order number.

  • How current is the information?
    You can check the “last updated” field for the exact date and time the information has been updated.

  • How can I contact the repair shop?
    Just click the “Your representative's email” or dial the phone number listed.

  • How current is the repair status?
    It’s up to the individual shop to update the information. The actual update process takes only 10 – 20 seconds in total. Many shops update the data at least 3-4 times a day, more depending on the circumstances of an individual job.

  • Can I still personally call my clients?
    Absolutely. Some people prefer to talk to an actual person; others do not have internet access. Still others do not wish to be bothered with phone calls, while still wanting updates. We recommend that you ask the customer, at the time a vehicle is being dropped off for repairs, how he/she prefers to be updated.

  • Who is responsible for uploading the data in my office?
    Anyone can upload the latest repair status data. Ideally, proper communication between your production manager, clerks and estimators, will provide the best results.

  • Will this affect my production scheduling?
    Initially, your daily routine will be the same. Then you will rely more and more on the on-line repair status to keep customers informed. Soon, since you will no longer spend as much time on the phone talking to your customers, you will find that you have more disposable time to manage the production better. This in turn will result in faster production turnaround time and more finished and delivered jobs.

  • Is On-Line Repair Status free for my customers?
    Accessing the web based On-Line Repair Status is free for all customers. Customers wishing to receive either email or test messages should check with their service provider, in some cases a standard text message rate data transfer.

  • Is my customer’s privacy protected?
    Any customer or shop information is stored securely and will not be shared with any third party.

  • I would like to sign up today. Can I include my exiting work in progress?
    Yes. Data related to any in-production jobs can be uploaded immediately.

  • Can I customize my own repair status descriptions or messages?
    All repair status descriptions or messages are customizable by the end user – you.

  • How many logins can I have for my shop?
    As many as you wish, we recommend no more than two per employee.
